A few notes on the life of his eminence, Mawlana Shaykh wuld Khayri

He is his excellence, Shaykh Ibn Khayri, the unique one (Fard) of his time, the uncontested champion in his arena, the possessor of rare virtues. He joins between the outward sciences of Islam (sharia) and the inner reality (haqiqa), with his feet firmly planted in this position.

He has spread the Tijani path and the Ibrahimi flood to all regions of the world, from Africa in the west to Saudi Arabia in the east, and it is he through whom God has guided tens of thousands to this religion of "the middle path," attracting many to partake in the feast of divine knowledge whose wellspring was opened by the Owner of the Flood, Ibrahim Niasse.

Shaykh Ibn Khayri has become known for the kind of character traits that qualify him for this special station: he possesses virtuous character, is generous and giving, lightens the burdens of others and aids them in making it through the ups and downs of life, provides for his guests and honors his neighbors, keeps up family ties and shows excellence to the needy, is astute and lofty-minded, and no reproach can touch him regarding God.

His birth:

Shaykh Ibn Khayri was born before dawn on Monday, the 22nd of Sha'ban, 1373 A.H. (April 26, 1954), near the village of al-Jarrariyyah, the site of the largest number of graves of Alawis in all of southern Mauritania, including the graves of Shaykh Ahmadu bin Shaykh Muhammad al-Hafiz—who was known as "Manna" and passed away in 1325 A.H.—and Sayyid Ahmad wuld Baddi—who was known as "Abba" and passed away in 1322 A.H.—as well as other spiritual guides and eminent scholars.

The Shaykh's birth coincided with the second visit of Shaykh Ibrahim to Agal, and Shaykh Ibrahim blessed the newborn and supplicated for him.

His upbringing:

Shaykh Ibn Khayri grew up in a uniquely scholarly atmosphere; he was nursed with a pure milk mixed with love and after the divine gaze and being pre-eternally qualified. These were his early years.

As for his childhood, he committed himself to being in a constant state of remembrance of God and attending the fragrant gatherings of remembrance, thereby living his youth—according to the testimony of those who grew up with him—in obedience to God, without his attention ever being attracted by whatever frivolities and heedlessness busied the youth of his time.

Rather, what busied him was remembrance of God and studying whatever was appropriate for the circumstances, acquiring knowledge of religious sciences and other contemporary knowledge. This is not surprising, as this was the habit of the Shaykh's family: piously devoted by night and warriors by day.

He took up acquiring religious and linguistic sciences, while at the same time acquiring contemporary knowledge, and entered contemporary schools, graduating as a gifted instructor.

His preeminence in calling to God:

The Shaykh grew up in the heart of the Tijani flood, taking divine knowledge from Muhammad al-Mishri, whom he often accompanied to Madina, where Shaykh Ibrahim was, to meet Lordly breezes, so that his path might start after that with Divine Gnosis, in which his mother was a dean of the school of purification from Muhammad al-Mishri.

Early signs of his early distinction in this arena appeared in him, which he heard either explicitly or implicitly from the people of this art, until he became uncontested to the extent that al-Mishri began to boast about him. This was in his second decade of life.

In 1975 Divine Wisdom decreed the passing of Muhammad al-Mishri, whom the Shaykh had often accompanied, even to his last moments in this world, after which came the passing of the earthly form of Shaykh Ibrahim, Possessor of the Flood, may God be pleased with him.

And so the chiefs of the experiential school (Madrasa al-Dhawqiyya) and others noticed that he had surpassed them in the area of divine gnosis, so they gave allegiance to him.

With this he presided over their spiritual upbringing & training (tarbiyya), in that he had from licenses or Ijaza from Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse, Sidi Ali Cisse, Sidi Al-Hajj Abdullah wuld al-Shaykh [Ibrahim Niasse], Sidi Muhammad Mishri, and his father Sidi Ibn Khayri and his uncle Ustadh wuld Ad.

In April 1978, he founded the village of Boubacar, located 40 km north of Arkeez in southern Mauritania, and it was here that the story of Boubacar started. He laid the first bricks to build and build up to prepare a righteous community founded on God-Consciousness (Taqwa) and His good pleasure.

Pearls of Wisdom - Mawlana Shaykh Wuld al khairy R.A

Our future will be like our present and our current state will be our state in what is to come, because the human being will not find in his afterlife or his ending except what he sent forth in his dunya and during his life, and that is what he will be actualised with in death. So if he accustoms himself to being busy with Allah and carrying out the Lordly affairs and sincere worship of Allah, he will increase in that continuously, and Allah will accept it from him from his pure Grace and Pleasure and he will draw near to Him. For indeed the human being will only be where he places himself in the approach towards Allah

Pearls of Wisdom - Mawlana Shaykh Wuld al khairy R.A

The Sacred Law [sharī'a] is what we follow, from the beginning to the end. And the Divine Reality [Haqīqa] is the ocean of the Sacred Law. It is the ship on that ocean, and whomever does not embark on that ship cannot enter that ocean. The Sacred Law is the most valuable aspect, and whoever does not protect their most valuable asset cannot expect any kind of benefit. And every one of us wants benefit and success.

Verily Allaah is present without a doubt.and we Thank Allah for being included amongst those who bear witness to that! The specialty of Monday

This short passage from the Jawahir al Ma'ani explains the question on why is Monday the day particular to the Prophet. why on this day was he born, received revelation, and so forth. why not any other day, why Monday?

THE SPECIALTY OF MONDAY (YAWM AL ITHNAIN) 'the second day'
Among the remarks of Sidina Shaykh Ahmad Tijani (may Allah be well pleased with him):
"I meditated on the reason of the specialty of Monday (yawm al ithnain-the second day) with its relationship with the Chieftan of Existance Salla Allahu Alaihi wa Salim and it appeared to me clearly that just like He the Prophet was the 'second' in existance which was preceded only by the existance of Allah the eternal.
In the same way this day is the second of the days and was preceded only by the "ALONE day" which is Yawm al AHAD (thus Sunday in Arabic is named). For this reason he had his highlights in this day of Yawm al Ithnain (Monday) since it is on this day he was born, the day of Hijra, and the day he entered Medina, the day he became a Messenger.
This is the same way for Sidina Adam (alaihi Salaam) which for him was particularized by Friday. He had his highlights in life on Friday, which was the last day of the creations. As the language of the Arifeen say he was given 'the last robe of creation'.
However this day Friday was the last day of when Allah created his creation. Allah as is known said:
"It is He which in six days created the skies and the earth and all that there is between them" (Surat 25 Furqan, verse 59). And for the seventh day He said "Then he established himself on the Throne". As he wanted, and as He knows and He created no creature that day.
It is on this day of Friday that Adam was created, His entry into Paradise, and His exit, and also His day of Repentace..."
Shaykh Ahmad Tijani was then asked. "by this analogy can one affirm that Monday is more preferable than Friday owing to the fact that Monday is the day particular to the Prophet Muhammad (Salla Allahu alaihi wa Salim)
Sidina Shaykh Tijani answered "No, the preference (of Friday) is a Divine Decree, with neither cause, nor analogy intervening in this subject. It is only the Divine Grace of Allah which is according to what HE wants, by what HE wants, for what HE wants. What one hears about the case of superiority about a creature is effective only by the means of information coming from Allah and His Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) IF NOT then there is no superiority if they havent said so.

Pearls of Wisdom - Mawlana Shaykh Wuld al khairy

The meaning of our gathering for the sake of Allah [in Allah] is so that all of us can call the other to Allah and so that we can invite each other to be busy or to be preoccupied in the most befitting of ways, so that our exterior is engaged with the external aspects of the Sacred Law, and our inward aspect is preoccupied with the inward aspect of the Truth

This way we can give each person or thing that has a right its due right, so that the relationship (nisb) of the Truth, the spiritual stations (maqāmāt), the divine presences (ḥaḍarāt), and the divine spheres (dawā'ir) may all receive their due

This obviously applies to the spiritual realities, the relationships (nisāb), and the divine manifestations (tajalliyāt). By doing so, each person & thing that is due its right will receive it. All of this is an obligation

As a result of this, if we find ourselves in a state of separation (farq), our separation will not overcome our conjunction or gatheredness (jamᶜ). Nor will our conjunction or gatheredness overcome our separation. All of us will be with the Truth, the Blessed and Exalted, watchful and observing, drowning in Him in a true sense

As a result of this, we will be God-conscious outwardly and inwardly, approaching Him with our hearts and our bodies

Pearls of Wisdom - Shaykh Ibrahim ibn Wuld al khairy

"An 'Arif has to be constantly busy with Allah, coming closer to Him through His mention (dhikr), continuous awareness of Him and absorption in His Essence. He should observe his faith in order to see it increasing and then he should make himself used to remembering Him through the Noble Quran and constant devotion to Salat al-Fatihi, as well as persevering in outer worship for it leads to the inner worship
The latter consists of the heart's return to Allah Most High. The heart's return to its root, its destination and its reference. One's time has to be used and divided between being aware of Allah (muraqabah), worship and lawful earning
Sayyidi [Muhammad] al-Mishry emphasized that he does not know any time beyond these three, nor does he wish for any of his companions to know any time beyond these three
Likewise, I do not know any time beyond these"

"We are all brothers in Allāh and beloveds in Allāh. The authorized representatives (muqaddamūn) are brothers in Allāh. The spiritual aspirants (murīdūn) are brothers in Allāh. And all of us are beloved
There are some amongst us whom the Prophet (saws)ﷺmade beloved. There are some amongst us who Shaykh Aḥmad al-Tijānī (may Allāh be pleased with him) made beloved. There are some amongst us whom Shaykh Ibrāhīm [Niasse] (may Allāh be pleased with him) made beloved
They have left a legacy of love between us and this is not to be broken by anything"

Pearls of Wisdom -Shaykh ibn Wuld al khairy

"Whenever you sit with people and you see them drowning or submerged in heedlessness, take charge of your heart and be present with your Lord & Master in His Hadra! Do not be heedless of Him, because whoever remembers his Lord & Master in the company of the heedless and in the company of those whose hearts are dead, Allah will enliven their hearts while others remain dead. You will then become a lamp shining in the darkness of the heedless and a door from among the doors of His mercy, by which His Mercy reaches the heedless"

SHAYKH IMAM IBRAHIM IBN WULD AL KHAIRY

Tijani Tariqah

Bismillaahi Rahmaani Raheem. .

"Our Tariqa was particularized by Allah of a characteristic which places it above all the paths, and whose language cannot be understood, so that the truths of this cannot be known. If ever the veil which is covering this Tariqa was to be raised, the greatest of the poles (Aqtab) would have wished for it just as the shepherd of the desert areas wish for the clouds of rain.
Pay attention! Do not let yourself be deluded because all of the paths come from it. It is the source of all the paths from the beginning of creation, till the blowing of the trumpet on the last day. Our Tariqa is hidden except from the Master of Existence (peace and blessing be upon him), for He knows its value and worth."
